WWE Nixed Jonah's Plans To Pay Homage To Vader At Halloween Havoc
Wresters pay homage to those who have come before them all the time. Whether it be through their gear, their move set, or opening Raw by saying “hey yo” after the passing of Scott Hall. Jonah, formerly NXT's Bronson Reed, has paid tribute to Bam Bam Bigelow in the past through his gear, and he wanted to do the same for Vader, a man he has been attempting to embody throughout his career.
Jonah's Vader Tribute
Jonah revealed on Callihan Uncensored that he was going to come to the ring dressed as Vader at Halloween Havoc, presumably the 2020 installment of the revived WCW event. “I wanted to, I was ready to do it, and they nixed it a few weeks before. So you never got to see Jonah-Vader,” the Impact star explained.

The Vader tribute would have been extensive too. Not everyone in NXT was against the idea as someone had told the former North American Champion they knew where Vader's iconic mastodon helmet was. Presumably somewhere in WWE's massive warehouse. Jonah had also been given one of Vader's old masks by the soon-to-be Hall of Famer's son.
An Authentic Vader Mask
“Right behind me is an actual Vader mask that his son sent me to wear. Yeah, he sent me that, I was gonna wear that and someone in NXT knew the whereabouts of the big mastodon helmet gear.” The good news for those of you who would love to see what sounds like a pretty great idea is Jonah still has the mask and plans on fulfilling his Vader tribute in Impact.
Even though it would have been cool to see Jonah's plan unfold in NXT, it might be even more appropriate for Jonah to do the tribute sometime soon now Vader's back in the spotlight. WWE revealed the former World Champion will finally be inducted into the Hall Of Fame in a couple of weeks. Long overdue, and it's a shame Vader won't be around to enjoy it.
