10 Family Members Who Wrestled In Different Companies At The Same Time
It is evident that wrestling can be a family business since throughout history several members of a family have dedicated their lives to pro wrestling. In some cases, the two family members are talented and work together in the same company.

However, there are also family members who have worked in different companies at the same time. There may be a considerable difference in talent between them and that is why one wrestles in a more prestigious promotion than the other, or simply one of the two did not reach an agreement with the company and had to go to another.
10 Jerry Lawler & Brian Lawler
Brian Lawler (also known as Grandmaster Sexay) is one of those second-generation wrestlers who couldn't carry his father's legacy, and it's no wonder, as “The King” Jerry Lawler was an exceptional wrestler.
Brian Lawler was always a solid if unspectacular wrestler, but still his father gave him the opportunity to work for USWA and later they both wrestled in WWE. On the other hand, they worked in different companies for some years, for example, in 2007 while Jerry worked for WWE and Northeast Wrestling, Brian wrestled in United Wrestling Federation, Coliseum Championship Wrestling and Memphis Wrestling.
9 Ron Bass & Don Bass
Both Ron and Don were talented wrestlers, but obviously Ron had a better professional career. The Bass Brothers won the NWA Tennessee Tag Team Championship in 1975, they worked together for a while, but eventually parted ways.
In the 1980s, "Outlaw" Ron Bass worked primarily for NWA and WWE, while his brother worked for Continental Wrestling Association. Ron Bass became a true wrestling icon, winning more than 30 titles in his career. Don Bass also won several titles, but he was not as famous as his brother.
8 Rikishi & Umaga
The brothers Rikishi and Umaga worked together in WWE between 2001 and 2003, but they also wrestled in different companies at the same time.
In 2004 Umaga went to All Japan Pro Wrestling, while Rikishi stayed a few more months in WWE. A couple of years later, Umaga returned to WWE, where he worked for a few more years, but Rikishi worked other promotions, such as Nu-Wrestling Evolution and TNA.
Sadly, they didn't have many matches together, just a couple of tag team matches on PPW Memphis TV and Hulkamania Let The Battle Begin Tour.
7 Cody Rhodes And Dustin Rhodes
In 2006, while Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) was wrestling at World Wrestling Council, his half-brother Cody Rhodes made his debut in Ohio Valley Wrestling. In 2007, Cody came to WWE while Goldust went through various promotions such as TNA, United Wrestling Federation, and Coastal Championship Wrestling.
In 2009 Goldust returned to WWE, where he and Cody won the Tag Team Championship twice. Eventually Cody parted ways with the company and went through a lot of promotions, including ROH and NJPW, until they both met again in AEW.
6 Bret Hart & Owen Hart
Owen and Bret Hart, probably the greatest brothers in wrestling history, worked together in WWE for a few years, starring in a fantastic rivalry, but they also worked for different companies simultaneously.

In 1986 Owen Hart debuted as a professional wrestler in Stampede and at that time Bret Hart wrestled in WWE. They also wrestled in different companies in 1998 and 1999, when "The Hitman" was working for WCW and Owen for WWE.
5 Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy
Speaking of talented brothers, here are Jeff and Matt Hardy, who made up one of the greatest tag teams of all time and left their mark on wrestling, both together and individually.
For most of their careers they worked in the same companies, but sometimes not. In 2004, 2005 and 2010, Jeff Hardy worked for TNA, while Matt worked in WWE and currently, of course, it is Jeff who wrestles in WWE and Matt wrestles in AEW.
4 Dolph Ziggler & Ryan Nemeth
Recently, Dolph Ziggler’s brother, Ryan Nemeth, debuted in All Elite Wrestling, but this is not the first time that they work for different promotions at the same time, in fact, throughout their careers they have wrestled in different promotions most of the time.
Ryan Nemeth has been through Ohio Valley Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling, Millennium Pro Wrestling, among other companies, while Dolph Ziggler has been on the WWE roster for more than 15 years, proving his consistency and longevity.
3 Kurt Angle & Eric Angle
WWE Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle, was not the only wrestler of the Angle family, as his brother Eric was also a professional wrestler, at least for two years.

Maybe you did not even know about Eric Angle, who made his debut on April 4, 2001 at NWA OVW Bluegrass Brawl. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle was one of the hottest superstars in WWE.
In 2002, Eric Angle had three matches in WWE, the following year he had three matches in International Wrestling Cartel, he got injured and his career ended right away.
2 Ricky Steamboat & Vic Steamboat
Ricky Steamboat was a truly exceptional wrestler in the 70s and 80s, he won more than 20 championships between WWE, WCW and NWA, but what many do not know is that he has a brother who was also a professional wrestler and worked for other promotions.
Vic Steamboat only had 67 matches in his 12-year career, but he still managed to win some titles such as the ICW Tag Team Title, ICCW Heavyweight Title, CWA Heavyweight Title and NWA New England Television Title.
1 Scott Steiner & Rick Steiner
In 1988, Scott Steiner made his debut in Continental Wrestling Association and at that time his brother Rick was wrestling in National Wrestling Alliance. Later The Steiner Brothers worked together in NWA, WCW, WWE and NJPW, forming an excellent tag team, achieving even multiple Tag Team Titles.
Throughout the years Scott and Rick wrestled in different companies, sometimes they were together, but other times they were on opposite sides of the world, as for example in 2003 Rick worked for NJPW and Scott for WWE.
