10 Wrestlers Who Were Never A Heel In WWE

Throughout the history of WWE, there have been babyfaces and heels. Traditionally, babyfaces are cheered and heels are booed. However, some wrestlers' gimmicks can grow stale and switching alignment can do wonders for a wrestler's career. The Miz is a natural heel, and when he had a run as a babyface it didn't work as fans like to boo the Awesome One. Moreover, the likes of Undertaker, Triple H, Steve Austin, and The Rock are prime examples of wrestlers who have had success as both a face and as a heel.

It just doesn't sit right with the WWE Universe for some wrestlers to be cast as bad guys. That's why some go the entirety of their WWE careers as a babyface. Nevertheless, it's not to say that some of these wrestlers have been heels outside of WWE.

10 Kalisto

Kalisto United States Champion Cropped

Kalisto was a member of the Lucha House Party alongside Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado. Their "Lucha" entrance was popular with the younger fans who'd join in and wear their masks. Kalisto was a fantastic in-ring competitor but he was never going to be a World Championship contender.

It's easy to forget that Kalisto managed to win the WWE United States Championship twice. He also held the Cruiserweight Championship, and the NXT Tag Team Championship once with Sin Cara. Nevertheless, Kalisto's character was perfect as a babyface, and there was never a need to turn him heel.

9 Ricochet

Ricochet United States Champion Cropped

It looked as though that Ricochet's WWE career could have come to a halt in 2021 as he was booked poorly, but he managed to win the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in early 2022. Ricochet is an outstanding in-ring performer, and his high-risk moves captivate the audience.

Ricochet is over the fans, and it's not to say in the future that he could turn heel. With Triple H at the helm, the sky is the limit for Ricochet, and he made history as the first man to win the Intercontinental, United States, and NXT North American Championships.

8 Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle United States Champion WrestleMania 37 Cropped

Matt Riddle is a popular figure with the WWE Universe. He's extremely laid back, and that's what gravitates fans toward the Original Bro. Riddle captured the WWE United States Championship in 2021, but he dropped the gold to Sheamus at WrestleMania 37.

Riddle found more success with Randy Orton as RK-Bro as they became two-time Raw Tag Team Champions. The Viper can be hard to please, but Riddle managed to show a softer side to Orton which is why they were one of the most popular teams before Orton got injured. Moreover, you wouldn't rule out Riddle turning heel in the future but for now, he remains as a babyface.

7 Alundra Blayze

Alundra Blayze women's title trash can Cropped

Alundra Blayze was arguably the best female in-ring competitor in the New Generation Era. She defeated Heidi Lee Morgan to become the first WWE Women's Champion in three years, and this was a huge moment for the women's division.

Unfortunately, Blayze hardly had any longstanding rivalries. She went on to win the Women's Championship a total of three times in her career, and the fans were intrigued to watch her compete. She mixed it up with Bull Nakano, but it was a short-lived feud. Blayze jumped ship to WCW in late 1995, and she put the championship in the trash can which signaled the end of the Women's Championship for almost three years.

6 Ricky Steamboat

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat Cropped

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is one of the all-time greats to grace a WWE ring. He was clean-hearted, and he won fans over when he dethroned Randy Savage for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 3, which is one of the best matches to take place at WrestleMania.

Steamboat left WWE for WCW in the early '90s, but he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009. The Dragon was involved in storylines once again and he feuded with Chris Jericho, where they had an underrated match at Backlash.

5 Sting

Sting Cropped

Sting finally made his long-awaited WWE debut at Survivor Series 2014, but it's safe to say that his WWE career didn't go according to plan. Sting clashed with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, and there was a nostalgia aspect with DX and nWo members getting involved in the action. The Stinger was a WCW legend and it was great to see him in WWE.

Surprisingly, Sting failed to get his WWE career off to a winning start as he lost to Triple H. However, Sting challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions 2015. He suffered a concussion when Rollins executed the Buckle Bomb. Sting was a face for the entirety of his WWE run which wasn't surprising considering his popularity.

4 The Ultimate Warrior

Ultimate Warrior WWF Champion

Whilst he wasn't the best in-ring competitor, The Ultimate Warrior was one of the best babyfaces in the Golden Era. Warrior's explosive persona as he would race down the aisle caught the attention of many wrestling fans.

Warrior did the unthinkable when he beat Hulk Hogan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 6, and he's a two-time Intercontinental Champion. Warrior wasn't always easy to get on along with backstage, but there's no denying that his popularity was at an all-time high. Warrior entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 and sadly he passed away days later after he mended some broken fences.

3 Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly Divas Champion Cropped

Kelly Kelly was introduced to WWE fans as a member of Extreme Exposé and she was the on-screen girlfriend of Mike Knox. Once Kelly broke up with Knox, she went on to do better and bigger things.

She wasn't the best in-ring wrestler, but in 2011 she managed to win the WWE Divas Championship. Kelly Kelly feuded with Beth Phoenix and she managed to beat the Glamazon twice, but she dropped the title at Hell in a Cell. Kelly was a babyface throughout her stint in WWE, and she has made sporadic returns to the company including a 24/7 Championship win backstage.

2 Goldberg

Goldberg Universal Champion 2020 Cropped

Goldberg debuted in WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania 19 and his first major rivalry was with The Rock. Six months into his WWE career, Goldberg beat Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven 2003.

His inaugural run with the company would have been a lot better if he was booked strongly. Nevertheless, Goldberg was gone after WrestleMania 20, and he wouldn't return for 12 years. Goldberg's a babyface but that hasn't stopped some fans from booing him. He won the Universal Championship twice at the expense of younger talents, Kevin Owens and The Fiend which wasn't well received by the fans.

1 Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio WWE Champion 2011 Cropped

Rey Mysterio celebrated his two-decade anniversary with WWE in the summer of 2002, and he has been a babyface throughout his run with the company. The Ultimate Underdog was a heel for a short while in WCW, and it wasn't a good idea. Mysterio has a diminutive stature but fans were pleased to see him defy the odds.

His resume has been nothing short of extraordinary as he's a three-time WWE World Champion, and he's held the Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Championships. Mysterio won the 2006 Royal Rumble match as the number two entrant which was fantastic. Mysterio hasn't been exempt from a few boos, but the majority of the WWE Universe has always had his backing.
