In the months since this list initially came out, Kit Wilson and Elton Prince have proven themselves to be one of wrestling's great modern fashion plates, but also the cornerstone of the NXT tag team division, taking on teams like The Creed Brothers and even the main roster’s Brawling Brutes. Given that NXT UK closed up shop in September of 2022, it looks like Pretty Deadly are here to stay in the domestic version of WWE’s developmental brand. While their run as a tag team has been relatively short, there’s always a lot more to learn about any wrestler. So let’s take another look at Wilson and Price, with special attention paid to their pre-NXT days.

12 A British Tag Team

Most fans already know that both Elton Prince and Kit Wilson are British. Before WWE, they wrestled all of their matches only in England. Their performances were great, and they landed an offer from the NXT UK brand.

Since both wrestlers are now on NXT, it's unlikely they'll work in the United Kingdom anytime soon, especially since NXT UK shut down in September 2022 in favor of an upcoming NXT Europe.

11 First Teamed Up In 2015

While Elton Prince and Kit Wilson's television debut as a tag team happened in February 2019, they started teaming up way before. Back in 2015, they wrestled as Greased Lightning in International Pro Wrestling United Kingdom and WrestleForce, independent wrestling promotions based in England.

While the two appeared to go their separate ways at the end of the year, they ended up reunited in late 2017, forming a stable called The Collective with another UK wrestler named James Castle.

On the February 2nd, 2019 episode of International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom's IPW International Pro Wrestling, Pretty Deadly made its television debut under that team name. They fought Myles Kayman and The OJMO and won the bout.

On their next televised match for the promotion, they challenged Andreas Corr and Ashley Dunn (Team Storm) for the IPW Tag Team Titles and won the gold. This was their second reign (first as Pretty Deadly) and it ended in less than three months.

In 2019, Pretty Deadly also started appearing in the NXT UK brand, albeit as jobbers like many future NXT stars. While still working the UK independent wrestling scene, the two made their WWE debut on the 3/6/2019 episode of NXT UK in a five-minute losing effort against the previously mentioned Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.

More losses followed against The Hunt, Gallus, and other NXT UK tag team mainstays. It wasn't until Pretty Deadly joined WWE full-time that they finally scored a win on NXT television in March of 2020, over a year after their initial debut.

In February 2021, Pretty Deadly challenged Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, also known as Gallus, for the NXT UK Tag Team Titles. After a 15-minute bout, Pretty Deadly won the match and became the new NXT UK Tag Team Champions.

They kept their titles for almost 9 months before losing it to Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate). Their reign is the second longest in the title's history, lasting 287 days behind Gallus' impressive 497 days.

In March of 2022, Kit Wilson and Stevie Turner announced their engagement through social media. Most fans weren't aware of their relationship before this news broke out. Previously known as Bobbi Tyler on the independent scene and in Japan's STARDOM, Turner joined WWE in 2020 and wrestled on NXT UK.

The other half of Pretty Deadly, Elton Prince's relationship status is currently unknown.

In 2017, Elton Prince appeared on UK's reality show named First Dates. As the name suggests, Prince went on a first date with a girl named Jade. This was one of the worst dates in the show's history, but it wasn't because of the former NXT UK Tag Team Champion.

The girl, Jade, upset viewers of the show due to her bizarre demands. She ended up ghosting Elton, after telling him she would be back soon.

5 WWE Changed Their Names In NXT 2.0

Pretty Deadly's NXT 2.0 Debut

In NXT UK, Pretty Deadly's members were known as Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker. They wrestled their final match on the brand in March of 2022, where they lost to Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz.

Then, they disappeared from WWE programming for over a month before making their NXT 2.0 debut. Now, Lewis and Sam are known as Elton Prince and Kit Wilson respectively. This wasn't the first time the duo changed their names, either: in their aforementioned 2015 tag team run, the two wrestled as Lightning Lewis and Sammy Smooth.

Pretty Deadly has been active for a few years now. They've been working in WWE for three years but didn't make their PPV debut until 2022. When they were in NXT UK , the company used to do NXT UK TakeOver events. They discontinued them during the pandemic and dropped the TakeOver series altogether since NXT's rebranding.

After arriving at NXT 2.0, WWE booked them at In Your House 2022 against The Creed Brothers. During this match, Pretty Deadly ended up losing their NXT Tag Team Title belts.

While Pretty Deadly were firmly established in NXT 2.0 by the summer of 2022, they actually ended up challenging for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship once more. After dropping the NXT Tag belts to Brutus and Julius Creed, they decided to pursue the UK Tag belts, which at the time were held by NXT 2.0's Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen. Prince and Wilson took on Briggs and Jensen for the title on the 7/19/2022 episode of NXT 2.0, but ultimately came up short.

1 *Unified The NXT & NXT UK Tag Team Titles

With the closure of NXT UK, the NXT vs. NXT UK crossover show Worlds Collide featured a number of title unification matches in order to write the UK belts off of television. For the men's tag team divisions, a unified champion was determined in a four-way elimination match featuring UK Champions Briggs and Jensen, 2.0 champions The Creed Brothers, Gallus, and Pretty Deadly. Entering the match with no belts, Elton Prince and Kit Wilson were able to eliminate the Creeds to earn their second reign with the NXT Tag Team Championship.
