Brock Lesnar was the most heavily pushed wrestler of the 2010s. WWE bringing back Lesnar following an incredible MMA career was done to add more star power. The wrestling fan base already loved Brock due to his past success in WWE, but other sports fans discovered him when he was fighting for UFC. The push would see Lesnar dominate the main event scene despite the part-time schedule.

The match quality of Brock was all over the place with some classics and awful bouts to even it out. Lesnar’s better overall matches showed why he was among the most special performers in company history. The worst ones made us realize why fans sometimes grow sick of his title reigns. 10 Best: Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena (Extreme Rules 2012)
The first match back for Brock Lesnar in WWE came against John Cena at Extreme Rules 2012. Lesnar returned to Raw the night after WrestleMania 28 to attack Cena in front of an overjoyed crowd.

Cena went into his Brock feud right after the tough loss to The Rock in their first meeting. WWE went with the booking decision to have Cena win. It was silly to have Lesnar lose that quickly, but the match itself was a masterpiece of violence.
9 Worst: Brock Lesnar Vs. Dean Ambrose (WrestleMania 32)
Dean Ambrose had the biggest opportunity to that point wrestling Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32. The event set a new WWE attendance record of over 100,000 fans attending in Dallas, Texas.
Ambrose wanted to have a special match to give the fans a spectacle, but Lesnar shut all his ideas down. The match turned out to be a huge disappointment. Ambrose gained nothing from the loss, and it was the most pointless WrestleMania program for Lesnar.
8 Best: Brock Lesnar Vs. AJ Styles (Survivor Series 2017)
AJ Styles winning the WWE Championship from Jinder Mahal on SmackDown was done to give Brock Lesnar a bigger match at Survivor Series 2017. The champion vs champion stipulation gave us an instant classic between Styles and Lesnar.
Styles did his best to put up a fight and make fans believe he had a chance. Lesnar eventually won, but the match had enough drama to get the audience invested. This was the time WWE started to realize Brock had better matches with smaller opponents.
7 Worst: Brock Lesnar Vs. Cain Velasquez (Crown Jewel 2019)
Cain Velasquez debuted in WWE by attacking Brock Lesnar to end the first episode of SmackDown on Fox. The two former UFC rivals were instantly booked to have a big match for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel.
WWE wanted to book an attraction match for the Saudi Arabia show and placed Velasquez in a tough position. The match was a disaster only going a handful of minutes. WWE have yet to reference Cain or bring him back since the quick loss.
6 Best: Brock Lesnar Vs. Daniel Bryan (Survivor Series 2018)
Another last-minute Survivor Series change saw Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship in 2018. Bryan turned heel by cheating to defeat AJ Styles and end his lengthy reign. Brock Lesnar a had new opponent for the Raw vs SmackDown theme.
Bryan had been open for years about his dream match with Lesnar. The scenario of a smaller wrestler vs a beast allowed him to tell a bold story. Bryan took a vicious beating selling prior injuries that looked scary given his past issues, but the comeback made it must-see television before Brock stole the win.
5 Worst: Brock Lesnar Vs. Triple H (SummerSlam 2012)
Brock Lesnar and Triple H struggled to get much momentum for their feud that ran from SummerSlam 2012 to WrestleMania 29. The SummerSlam match was the first time they ever faced off since the two were on different brands during Brock’s first run.
Triple H’s style didn’t work well with Lesnar and it made them both look silly. Brock won the match with the kimura breaking Triple H’s arm in the storyline. Both wrestlers just couldn’t get on the same page leading to the dream match disappointment.
4 Best: Brock Lesnar Vs. CM Punk (SummerSlam 2013)
CM Punk had his final great storyline come against Brock Lesnar in 2013. Paul Heyman turning on Punk eventually set up the big attraction of Heyman’s top client Lesnar against the man he betrayed at SummerSlam.
Punk put up an amazing effort to make the audience crave the moment of him defeating Brock. The overall match was a classic utilizing weapons in the best way. Lesnar naturally won since WWE had bigger plans for him.
3 Worst: Brock Lesnar Vs. Kofi Kingston (Smackdown On Fox Premiere)
Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship reign was the biggest WWE story for most of 2019. WWE did a great job building the moment of Kingston defeating Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. Unfortunately, the title reign ended in the worst manner.

Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi in just ten seconds to win the gold. Kingston’s impressive title reign lost all relevance when losing in such a crushing fashion. Lesnar has the reputation for choosing how much offense he gives to his opponent and he gave Kofi nothing.
2 Best: Brock Lesnar Vs. Seth Rollins Vs. John Cena (Royal Rumble 2015)
The best match of Brock Lesnar in the 2010s saw him defending the WWE Championship against John Cena and Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2015. All three wrestlers connected on this night to have a must-see match.
Lesnar retained the title after coming back from a brutal table bump that most fans assumed took him out of the match. This match put Rollins on the map as a main eventer and convinced WWE he could be a viable option for WrestleMania 31.
1 Worst: Brock Lesnar Vs. Braun Strowman (No Mercy 2017)
Braun Strowman gained strong momentum in 2017 after getting the better of Roman Reigns on a few occasions. WWE finally placed Strowman into a singles title match by challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at No Mercy.
Fans had high expectations for a brawl, but it was a timid match with nothing standing out. Strowman’s credibility took a huge hit for not stepping up in a big spot. Lesnar didn’t do him any favors with the lack of fire shown in the match.
