5 Current Wrestlers Who Have Small Movesets (& 5 With A Big Arsenal Of Moves)

Wrestling is such a fascinating industry that there is no single path to success, as wrestlers can each shine in their own way. There are wrestlers who stand out for their mic skills, like The Miz in WWE, there are others who are extremely charismatic and then there are those who have a phenomenal moveset.

Obviously, those wrestlers with a big arsenal of moves are more likely to deliver a memorable match and become fan favorites. However, there are wrestlers with small movesets who have managed to build an unforgettable legacy as well. Without further ado, let's take a look at five current wrestlers with small movesets, and five with a big arsenal of moves.

12 Small Moveset: Roman Reigns

It's no secret to anyone that Roman Reigns has a small moveset. He doesn't have much more than his Spear, his Guillotine hold, his Superman Punch, his Uppercut and his kick on the apron. Roman Reigns' matches tend to be similar and depend a lot on his opponent. However, The Tribal Chief provides other things like storytelling and character work, and that adds a lot to his matches. Despite his limited moveset, Reigns became one of the greatest superstars in WWE history.

11 Big Arsenal Of Moves: Kazuchika OkadaOkada-Dropkick-Omega

Kazuchika Okada has one of the most complete wrestling movesets today. The Japanese has the Rainmaker, the Heavy Rain, The Money Clip, the DID, Diving Elbow Drop, Dropkick, the Red Ink, among others. Best of all, Okada uses his moves with logic and sense while telling a story. With that said, it's no wonder Okada has had so many fantastic matches and is considered one of the best wrestlers of all time.

10 Small Moveset: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes

Brock Lesnar has always had a small moveset, especially nowadays. He usually takes his opponents to Suplex City and hits an F-5 and that's it. When the match lasts a little longer than usual, Lesnar also uses a Kimura Lock, but he doesn't have any more tricks up his sleeve. Still, fans enjoy seeing him in the ring, and that's because he's had a legendary career and his star power is incredible.

9 Big Arsenal Of Moves: Rey FenixNick Jackson vs Rey Fenix AEW

Rey Fenix's arsenal of moves is simply ridiculous. This guy always has different moves in his matches thanks to his Lucha Libre style and unique high-flying skills. In fact, sometimes it seems like his arsenal of moves is unlimited.

Rey Fenix can perform the Fenix Driver, La Garra del Fenix, Spanish Fly, 450 Splash, Diving Crossbody, Springboard Ace Crusher, Suplex, Hurricanrana, and other moves that may not even have a name. As complex as some moves are, he executes them fluidly and cleanly. Rey Fenix is an extraordinary wrestler, one of the most talented in AEW.

7 Small Moveset: Darby Allin

Darby Allin is a very good wrestler; he is charismatic, and the fans love him. He is incredibly agile and fast, and he capitalizes on that to deliver dynamic matches that are fun to watch. However, truth be told, Allin's moveset is no big deal. He doesn't have much more than his Coffin Drop, Last Supper, Code Red and Suicide Dive. Also, admittedly, Allin is sloppy at times and puts both his opponent and himself at risk.

6 Big Arsenal Of Moves: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair is the complete package in terms of in-ring skills. She has strength, athleticism, speed and technique, and she takes advantage of those tools to have a big arsenal of moves.

Belair has the KOD, which is one of the best women's finishers today, plus she can perform Standing Moonsault, Shooting Star Press, Dropkick, Frog Splash, Facebuster, Spinebuster, Powerslam, Military Press, Double Chikenwing, 450 Splash, Suplexes and more. Bianca Belair's moveset is about 10 times bigger than that of an average female wrestler.

4 Small Moveset: Ronda RouseyRonda Rousey v Shotzi SmackDown June 10, 2022 Cropped

Ronda Rousey has a small moveset, but it is understandable considering she was MMA fighter and has participated in just 132 wrestling matches (including house shows). The Armbar, the Piper's Pit and the Ankle Lock is pretty much her entire moveset, beyond a couple of slams and strikes. Despite her limited in-ring skills, Rousey has managed to have success in WWE. Certainly, she has a lot of haters, but she has plenty of fans as well.

3 Big Arsenal Of Moves: AJ StylesAJ Styles vs Theory

AJ Styles has had a phenomenal career (no pun intended). He has shined wherever he has gone, including TNA, NJPW and WWE of course. That's precisely because of his in-ring skills and his incredible arsenal of moves. AJ Styles can perform submission moves, high-flying moves, and can even perform some power moves despite his size. Phenomenal Forearm, Styles Clash, Calf Crusher, 450 Splash, Styles Clash, Pele Kick and Cliffhanger are some of AJ Styles' moves.

2 Small Moveset: Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler

Baron Corbin has a great finisher, the End Of Days, and he also has a pretty cool signature move, the Deep Six. But beyond that, his moveset is pretty basic. Corbin doesn't have outstanding power moves, he doesn't often use submission moves, let alone high-flying moves. He's a good performer, but his matches would be better if he added a couple of moves to his arsenal.

1 Big Arsenal Of Moves: Kenny Omegawill-ospreay-vs-kenny-omega-njpw-wrestle-kingdom-17-1

Kenny Omega has a unique arsenal of moves, with original, spectacular and lethal moves. It is hard to think of a wrestler who has a better moveset than Omega. V-Trigger, One Winged Angel, Hadouken, Croyt's Wrath, Kotaro Krusher, Aoi Shoudou, Frankensteiner, Missile Dropkick, Neckbreaker, Dragon Suplex, Uranage, Tope Con Hilo, among others. Kenny Omega's arsenal of moves is unreal, so it's no wonder he always delivers in the ring.
