7 Worst Problems With The Rock That No One Talks About
The Rock is considered to be one of the greatest talents in WWE history. He brought an incredible amount of star power to the company and whether playing a babyface or a heel, he was always able to win over the fans. His storylines were engaging and his matches exciting, which is one of the reasons he was such a great talent.

However, while there are many great things to admire about the People's Champion, there are also a few situations that fans overlook. No wrestler is perfect and that is the situation when it comes to The Rock as well, who does have a few situations about him that get glanced over.
7 Destructive Promos
There is no doubt that The Rock is one of the greatest talkers in the history of the business. However, that doesn't mean that everything he does is a positive. There have been times when he has arguably gone too far with his promos, opting to destroy a wrestler at times.
One savage promo has the potential to completely ruin a career or a push and that is something that happened with Billy Gunn because of The Rock. His big singles run came to a screeching halt due to the words of The Rock, which is a moment that shouldn't be overlooked.
6 A Short Career
While this isn't something that made him a bad wrestler in any sense, a lot of people overlook how short The Rock's career was. His full-time run only lasted eight years, and even the final year of that was spent with him doing some movie work.

When people think about other legendary wrestlers, they often put in a lot more work within the business, which is what helps to build up their status. It's something about the People's Champion that doesn't quite hold up in comparison to others.
5 His Chair Shots
There have been a lot of violent moments throughout wrestling history, but the I Quit match between The Rock and Mankind is one of the worst. This match saw The Rock take things to a level that no match should ever have done to.
This one featured countless chair shots directly to the head, which was a lot for fans to deal with at the time. The fact Mick Foley's family were in attendance made this entire situation even worse as they were left visibly distraught by the match.
4 Overshadowing Current Talent
From the moment The Rock returned to WWE in 2011 to his appearances today, he typically overshadows the talent he works with. Sometimes, this feels intentional, while other times it does not, but either way it is a problem WWE has never really solved.

Whether it be him being a bigger deal than The Miz at WrestleMania 27, or easily destroying The Wyatt Family or Rusev. He often dominates over the talent who are working day in and day out today to become stars, which isn't always helpful to the future of the business.
3 Taking Up Time
Even when The Rock is not dominating talent in terms of a match or segment, there is often the problem that he does take a lot of time up. This is either with lengthy promos or long entrances, which is something that fans do not always appreciate.
This was particularly true when he took up a large chunk by trying to set his name on fire, which might have looked cool, but didn't create anything special. Fans want to see more ring time for others, which is something that made these lengthy moments drag on.
2 Years Forgetting The Business
The wrestling business is in The Rock's blood and it is something he is passionate about. But from 2004 to 2011, that wasn't the case, with wrestling being an afterthought for him. He didn't make returns to the company and whenever he worked in the movie world it was strictly as Dwayne Johnson, with his wrestling career being a thing of the past.

He has since admitted that he followed bad advice in regards to this as he was trying to break through in Hollywood. However, that doesn't take away from the fact he did brush his wrestling career to one side for many years.
1 Trash Talking Women
While The Rock was never over the top with negativity towards women, he did have a lot of segments with some female wrestlers over the years. Whether it be Stephanie McMahon, Lana, or Vickie Guerrero, The Rock would quite often put down female talent with his comments.
His comments might have been seen as acceptable during the Attitude Era. However, in today's world, they often lead to raised eyebrows and it is an aspect of his character that does get overlooked at times. But there is no doubt that this is a major negative of his character and career.
