8 Things Wrestlers Secretly Said To Each Other After Their Match
Wrestlers are constantly talking to each other inside the ring, as that is how they are able to put matches together, but that is not something that people are supposed to see. These are often moments of emotion, where respect is shown or where the wrestlers involved want to communicate a clear message to the other about something. This instantly gets fans interested in what they are saying, but because these messages are kept between them, it isn't always known what is being spoken about.
8 Seth Rollins Cashes In (WrestleMania 31)
Seth Rollins' Money in the Bank cash-in at WrestleMania 31 was a frantic moment filled with insane energy, not only from the crowd but from those inside the ring as well. It was a historical situation, and while fans were wrapped up in all of it, if they took the time to listen there was a message to be heard as well.
Rollins took the time to say, "thank you so much" to Roman Reigns as he pinned him in the ring, becoming the WWE Champion in the process. The fact they were close helped to get this over, and that is something that highlighted how much it all meant to hi.
7 Shinsuke Nakamura Apologizes (SmackDown, 8/1/17)
Early on in Shinsuke Nakamura's main roster run, he was given the chance to compete against John Cena in singles action, which was obviously a huge opportunity for him. However, during that match, he did accidentally drop Cena directly onto his neck, in what could have been a dangerous situation.

When the match was over, Nakamura could be seen immediately apologizing to Cena as they shook hands to show respect. To Cena's credit, he took the situation brilliantly, telling Nakamura he didn't need to be sorry, likely reducing the stress in that situation.
6 Brock Lesnar Gives Thanks (WrestleMania 30)
Brock Lesnar is the Beast in WWE, and someone who is positioned as one of the most dominant and destructive forces in wrestling history, but even he has taken the time to communicate messages post-match. Ending The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak was an unbelievable moment, and something nobody saw coming.
However, even fewer people saw Lesnar quietly whisper "thank you" to the Deadman as he was getting the pinfall in that moment. He obviously knew what a major honor it was, and the fact he took the time to showcase how much it meant to him says a lot about Lesnar.
5 John Cena Shows Respect (WrestleMania 29)
John Cena's rivalry with The Rock is one that got over so well because the two men legitimately didn't like each other when things got started. However, throughout working together they were able to build up a level of respect and friendship which has continued ever since.
After their WrestleMania 29 encounter, the two men could be seen talking to each other in the ring, bringing an end to their animosity. Cena has since revealed he told Rock a story about how he once took a picture with him when he was younger, explaining to him he wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the People's Champion.
4 The Legit Boss Apologizes (WWE Live Event, 12/27/17)
Injuries happen inside the ring, and anytime one happens and it has to end a match the wrestlers often showcase more of a human side of themselves rather than sticking to the character. That is what happened during a live event in 2017 where Paige's in-ring career, unfortunately, came to an end at that time.
A move delivered from Sasha Banks ended up going wrong, and that led to an apology from the Legit Boss in the moment, as she scrambled over to say sorry and check on her throughout the situation.
3 "You Deserve It" (WrestleMania 18)
The chant "you deserve it," is something that a lot of wrestling fans like to chant at wrestlers when they finally get their big break in the business. However, at WrestleMania 18 that is also what Hulk Hogan had to say to The Rock following their epic encounter against each other.
This was seen as a true passing of the torch moment in WWE due to The Rock being the next big name in the business. Clearly, due to the messages that Hogan had after the bell, the Hulkster was of the same mindset.
2 Shawn Michaels' Message Of Love (WrestleMania 24)
Shawn Michaels facing Ric Flair is a classic retirement match in professional wrestling, with the two of them telling an incredible story together. While fans saw what HBK mouthed to him before hitting the fateful Sweet Chin Music, he also went on to whisper things to him afterward.

The message was, "I love you" during those final moments, and that is something that caused a lot of emotion between the two of them. Because they're both such good friends, the emotion was already high, and that is something that spilled out during this situation.
1 The Rock Expresses Gratitude (WrestleMania 19)
The Rock and Steve Austin had a trio of classic WrestleMania matches, and it was their final encounter when the People's Champion could be seen visibly talking to his rival after the bell. After they had gone through so much together, The Rock wanted to take the time to thank Austin for everything he had done for him.
It wasn't just The Rock sharing the love, though, as the Texas Rattlesnake also told his rival that he loved him as well. It's one of the greatest subtle moments of their rivalry, and it's clear how much respect they had for each other in the moment.
