9 Wrestlers Who Are Friends Of Harts
The influence of wrestling families like the McMahons, the Anoa’is, and the Harts knows no real bounds in the industry. For over fifty years and across three generations, fans and wrestlers alike have garnered tremendous respect for members of the massive brood from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

While some wrestlers believe that you only wind up with a handful of true friends in the industry, that number increases when you’re a part of Stu Hart’s family. Over the years, plenty of superstars have come in and out of Hart house, and a number of them established true friendships with the family members.
9 Tyson Kidd / Cesaro
As a member of the clan by marriage, Tyson Kidd has grown up with the entire Hart family nearly his whole life. In the ring, he was part of a burgeoning tag team with Cesaro. The duo was rapidly rising up the ranks of the tag team division and are still regarding as one of the best tag teams of the mid-2010s.
But when an injury unfortunately derailed Tyson’s career, Cesaro was there on the scene paying his friend and partner a visit to the hospital in support. Cesaro also added the Sharpshooter to his arsenal to honor his tag team partner.
8 Natalya / Beth Phoenix
When Beth Phoenix was just a little Glamazon growing up in Buffalo, she like many fans idolized Bret and Owen Hart. Years later, she showed up in WWE and there was another stacked blond powerhouse in the company - the Hart brothers’ niece, Natalya.

In a world of “Divas,” Nattie and Beth Phoenix were women’s wrestlers who wanted to be women’s wrestlers. The two broke down barriers and by the time Nattie inducted Beth into the Hall Of Fame, they weren’t just friends, they were sisters.
7 Bret Hart / The Undertaker
When The Undertaker made his WWE debut, Bret Hart was staring at him across the ring. While the two never had an on-screen friendship, their characters had a heathy respect for one another. But they did develop a friendship off screen.
While Taker didn’t necessarily disagree with what happened in Montreal, he did make sure that McMahon confronted Bret Hart about what happened. Several years later when Owen tragically died, The Undertaker was on the first flight out to see his friend.
6 Owen Hart / Jeff Jarrett
Owen Hart seemingly loved everyone and certainly everyone loved him in return. Even The Ultimate Warrior who no one liked was supposedly liked by Owen, that’s the kind of regal compassion of The King Of Harts. During his final run with WWE, he and Jeff Jarrett were paired up together as a tag team. The duo were able bond backstage as well over their family lives and growing up as second generation sons of promoters.
When Owen died, Jeff was the first one who had to give a promo and go out and do what wrestlers do. The next night on Raw, he vowed to never stop telling Athena and Oje as much as he could about their dad; hopefully it’s a promise that he has always held up.
5 Natalya / Lana
One day, the WWE will realize that they completely screwed the pooch with Rusev and Lana. They were right on the cusp of true superstardom, and then off the cliff they went on the tank they rode in on.
But the Ravishing Russian kept on keeping on and worked very hard to get better in the ring. Through that dedication she forged a friendship with Natalya, who helped try to teach her and succeeded in making her be a better in ring performer.
4 Bret Hart / 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
While 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin certainly would have achieved a level of superstardom on his own, it was The Hitman that urged Vince to hire the former Stunning Hollywood Blond.
When Bret returned from his 1996 sabbatical, he chose to work with Austin. While there aren’t any many huge stories of friendship between the two, it’s clear there is a deep respect and friendship between the two whenever they show up together for interviews and retrospectives on their WrestleMania 13 classic.
3 Natalya / Ronda Rousey
Even before Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut she, Natalya and the rest of the MMA Four Horsewomen were forging a friendship through training one another. But that friendship was taken to a whole new level when Ronda Rousey debuted in WWE. Then, she and Nattie were friends both on and off camera.
So much that when Ronda annihilated Alexa Bliss to become Raw Women’s Champion, she wanted Natalya right by her side and dedicated her victory to Natalya’s father - Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart, who passed away just days prior.
2 Bret Hart / Roddy Piper
Bret Hart and Roddy Piper were friends for a very long time when Hot Rod put The Excellence Of Execution over at WrestleMania VIII. When Bret went down with a stroke, as the story goes, Roddy was one of, if not the only wrestler to visit The Hitman while he was convalescing.

Later in life, Piper had claimed to be a Hart cousin, which as many of us know - cousins are technically your first friends in life.
1 The Hart Family / Brian Pillman
Having trained in the Dungeon, Brian Pillman was able to make a name for himself in Calgary working for Stampede before becoming one of the most innovative high flyers of all time. Those years working for the Harts and teaming with Bruce Hart eventually translated to Pillman being the only non-Hart to be part of the Hart Foundation.
Pillman consistently showcased excellence over the course of his career - boosted in no part by his time in the Dungeon.
