A Segment Is Planned For LA Knight At SummerSlam

Highlights

  • Despite not yet achieving a victory, WWE superstar LA Knight has gained immense popularity and attention from fans.
  • Fans have expressed frustration over WWE's delay in pushing LA Knight, comparing it to Daniel Bryan's rise to stardom.
  • Recent reports suggest that WWE plans to push LA Knight after SummerSlam, but there are speculations about his involvement in the upcoming event.

WWE superstar LA Knight is everywhere at the moment. His pre-WWE commercials and skits are all over social media, he's on the mind of Kevin Nash, who called him a rip-off of The Rock, and he's the hottest act in all of WWE. The only place LA Knight isn't in is the win column. Since his star making role in his feud with Bray Wyatt leading up to the Royal Rumble, fans have been enamored by Knight's style. After Royal Rumble, he disappeared. He didn't have a match at WrestleMania. His popularity was at such a fever pitch going into Money in the Bank, he seemed a lock to win. He didn't. The love for Knight only grew. He seemed certain to win the tournament to face Austin Theory for his United States Championship. He lost.

Fans have been furious at WWE for not pushing LA Knight. He is having a Daniel Bryan like moment, but his push keeps getting delayed. Reports now say WWE is going to push him after SummerSlam. But what about the biggest show of the summer? If he isn't facing Theory, is LA Knight on the show? According to WWE insider Boozer 666, an unnamed source who has a solid history of breaking WWE stories, LA Knight will be at SummerSlam. They tweeted that Knight “will have a certain seg/angle during SS. Could switch to a match.”

When Is WWE Going To Push LA Knight?

There have been a lot of conflicting reports out about LA Knight lately. One report said that Vince McMahon has come around to LA Knight and is now a big fan. McMahon was sadly not a fan last year, and stuck Knight with the horrible Max Dupri gimmick. Another report said that Knight's push might have been hindered because he wasn't the best at handling himself backstage, but yet another report dismissed this as being untrue.

WWE knows what they have in LA Knight, who is becoming among their top merchandise sellers. He was the only one to have a promo segment with the crowd prior to the United States Championship tournament. He came out last for the match as well. Perhaps the company knows what they're doing, and they're slowly turning the screws, letting the fans get riled up to a fever pitch, before they unleash LA Knight. Whatever they have planned for him at SummerSlam, whether it be a simple promo, or a segment with another wrestler that ends with Knight put over, hopefully it's the beginning of what will see him becoming a champion.
