Bo-Katan actor Katee Sackhoff has shared an adorable behind-the-scenes photo from The Mandalorian season 3 and hinted at her season 4 return. Originally responsible for voicing the animated version of the character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Sackhoff first leaped across the live-action Star Wars universe in The Mandalorian season 2. It would not be until this year’s season 3, however, that Sackhoff’s role would be promoted to a series regular, often featured alongside Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin.
With Sackhoff and her fellow cast mates able to post about their work on the series thanks to the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike, the Star Wars star recently shared an adorable photo of her and her daughter during production on season 3. Check out her post below:
Saying that she misses her baby while traveling, she also admitted that she looks forward to wearing Bo-Katan's tragic again.
Bo-Katan's Return Means The Mandalorian Season 4 Heads Back To Mandalore
The Mandalorian season 3 finale delivered a long-anticipated moment, showing the disparate peoples of Mandalore finally united to reclaim their homeworld from Moff Gideon’s Imperial forces. Once thought uninhabitable, Din Djarin discovered that while the surface of Mandalore had been devastated by the Empire, claims that its atmosphere was poisoned and the planet was unlivable were entirely fabricated. Instead, Gideon used the deception to claim the planet for himself and use its resources to create his clone army of advanced Dark Troopers.
The Purge of Mandalore took place right at the end of the Galactic Civil War, after the Battle of Endor as part of Emperor Palpatine's contingency plans.
With Gideon defeated and Mandalore once more in the hands of its original people, many would have thought that The Mandalorian season 4 would have shied away from revisiting the planet, instead focusing on Din Djarin’s new adventures as a freshly minted Ranger of the New Republic. However, Sackhoff’s apparent involvement in season 4 indicates the show will head back to Mandalore, as Bo-Katan Kryze most likely attempts to rebuild the Mandalorian civilization on the once devastated planet.
Thrilling Mandalorian Theory Sets Up An Imperial Civil War After Thrawn's Return
Before Grand Admiral Thrawn returned, Moff Gideon was calling the shots in The Mandalorian. How will the Imperial Remnant deal with Thrawn's return?Exactly how Bo-Katan and Mandalore may feature in The Mandalorian season 4 remains to be seen. However, given the Mandalorians' well-deserved reputation as fierce warriors with a grudge against the Empire, it is likely that the Imperial Remnant would have much to fear in their growing strength. Also, potentially posing a threat to a newly returned Grand Admiral Thrawn and his nefarious plans, the brilliant tactician would no doubt seek to undermine Mandalore’s growing influence before its people become too dangerous for him to counter.
