Bret Hart Reveals He And Ric Flair Are Now Friends Despite Recent Comments
Bret Hart has reacted to topics recently brought up by Ric Flair, pointing out that they were made a long time ago.
Despite the number of people they cross paths with over the course of their careers, you'll often hear wrestlers say the same thing. That while they have a lot of acquaintances in the business, they don't have many friends. That might have become even more true in recent years via the podcast boom. Wrestlers' voices can be heard better than ever, and some of the time they can be heard disparaging others.
It's probably fair to say Bret Hart has been one of the worst offenders on that front. However, The Hitman has taken umbrage at comments made about him during a recent podcast featuring Ric Flair and Conrad Thompson. Hart has reached out on social media and pointed out the things he said, that were brought up on the podcast, were from a few years ago.

"It’s become apparent to me that someone is saying I did an interview with them recently but using old quotes of mine from way back," Hart tweeted. Just to be clear, Hart isn't talking about Flair here, but rather the comments he discussed with Thompson on the podcast. Hart added that he has already reached out to Flair and the two of them have cleared the air.
Hart also revealed that he and The Nature Boy are now friends despite their differences in the past. "I consider Ric a friend of mine and, considering I have very few friends left in the business, I want to keep it that way," he wrote. Hart has previously had a lot to say about Flair as well as a great many other people in the business, past and present.
It's good to see Hart is mending fences, though. If he can forgive Vince McMahon and return to WWE after how he left the company, he should be able to forgive just about anyone. Well, except for Goldberg. No one has felt the wrath of Hart's words more than the former Universal Champion. The Hitman blames Goldberg for effectively ruining his career, hitting him with a superkick in WCW that damaged his neck.
