Christina Anstead Debuts Meaningful New Tattoo Amid Divorce
The reality star took to Instagram to share her new ink with followers in January 2021. The piece — which is in arty cursive lettering and stretches from Christina Anstead's neck down in between her shoulder blades — reads simply, "Still I Rise." The line is taken from a poem by the iconic Maya Angelou, with Christina including a selection of lines from it alongside the photo. "Just like moons and like suns / With the certainty of tides / Just like hopes springing high / Still I'll rise / Still I Rise," she captioned the post.
The Christina on the Coast star previously referenced rising above the negativity, writing, "When we have a choice to get caught up in alllllll the nonsense or just choose to find peace...I'm choosing the anomaly," in a since-deleted Instagram post (via E! News). Christina also admitted she never envisioned herself getting divorced or having "two baby daddies," but reassured fans, "Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks' I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow." Evidently her new ink speaks to that fact.
