Dax Harwood Believes FTR Made The Briscoes Relevant Again

The Briscoes are more relevant now than they have been in a number of years ... at least according to AEW star Dax Harwood, who believes that he and Cash Wheeler reinvigorated the relevance of Mark and Jay Briscoe by confronting the Ring Of Honor stalwarts at Final Battle last week.

In case you missed it, FTR made a surprise appearance at Ring Of Honor's Final Battle pay-per-view on Saturday, December 11. The Briscoes were celebrating their ROH tag title win over Matt Taven and Mike Bennett when former AEW Tag Team Champions arrived to confront them. A brawl ensued, with FTR coming out on top.

A week later on Saturday, December 18, FTR member Dax Harwood took to Twitter to put the Briscoes on notice after a fan insinuated that Dax was scared of Mark and Jay potentially interfering in the six-man tag match at the AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash next week.

"We came in their house, beat the s**t out of them, and made them more relevant in 4 minutes than they’ve been in the last 4 years," Dax procliamed. "They should come the Greensboro and give us their payday from Final Battle. I’m sure I could almost pay my light bill with that money."

Recent reports suggest that The Briscoes have actually already signed with AEW, bolstering what is already an incredibly stacked tag team division.

Harwood and Cash Wheeler formed a tag team while they were both members of WWE's developmental roster. For the majority, they were known as The Revival, due to their penchant for an old-school style of tag team wrestling. The duo parted ways with WWE in 2020 and subsequently jumped ship to AEW. They made their AEW debuts on the May 27, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite.
