Harry Smith Involved In Incident With Jake Roberts At WrestleCon
Jake Roberts got on Harry Smith's bad side by talking bad about his late father Davey Boy Smith, and Harry did not take lightly to his father being buried by Jake The Snake.
According to Wrestlezone, who attended WrestleCon this past Saturday, there was an altercation between Harry Smith and Jake Roberts. Smith had heard about Roberts trashing Davey Boy Smith on several podcasts and possibly a shoot interview or two as well. Smith walked over to a table where Roberts was and confronted him about his disparaging remarks and Roberts refused to talk about it.
After Roberts refused to talk to Smith, Smith wanted to settle his differences with Roberts the old fashion way by challenging Roberts to a fight outside of the WrestleCon event. Roberts was seemingly tired of Smith and his challenge and told Smith to "f*** off". This made Smith angry and Smith did what some angry people would do in a situation like this and that was to retaliate by throwing coffee in Roberts' face.
Roberts' daughter just happened to be attending the event. According to Smith, Roberts and his daughter were the ones causing a scene and acting disorderly at WrestleCon. Smith then revealed that there was another issue he had with Roberts previously in 2012. Smith said that Roberts offered him some drugs at the 2012 WrestleCon.
Roberts has gone on record talking about The British Bulldogs and the type of people that they were behind the scenes. He said that Davey Boy Smith was the instigator and never wanted to fight and that the Dynamite Kid was the tougher of the two and the one who took out the punishment for Smith.
Roberts also said that Davey Boy was responsible for the whole Rougeau feud between Dynamite Kid and the Rougeaus and said that Davey Boy put cigarettes in Damien's snake bag which caused Damien to bite Roberts. Roberts said that he got revenge on Davey Boy a few days later when he gave Matilda some Ex Lax laced chili dogs. The Bulldogs refused to let Matilda out after Jake told them that the dog had to go to the bathroom and Jake knocked on the door and Matilda sprayed excrement nearly everywhere. The Bulldogs were upset when they returned from the bar and Roberts said that they had no idea that he pulled this rib. The old saying of secrets being best kept in the grave would have benefited Roberts because he probably would not have had the altercation with Harry Smith.
