Matt Hardy Compares AEW's Orange Cassidy To The Undertaker
Orange Cassidy is one of the most unique stars in wrestling. While his in-ring work is solid, he's undoubtedly most known for his laissez-faire attitude and impeccable fashion sense.

One of the most popular of these characters is WWE Hall of Famer, the Undertaker.
How Is Orange Cassidy Similar To The Undertaker?
On a recent episode of his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the AEW star talked about Orange Cassidy's success in pro wrestling. Fightful has provided the following transcription:
I think Orange Cassidy is tremendous. I think he’s at the top of that list when it comes to performers in AEW. He’s out there and he’s playing a character that is not easy to do, but he’s very committed to the bit, he’s committed to the gig. Once again, I can tell you how I respect someone who does that because I did that as ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy. But if he was just to go out and just be a normal, typical, regular wrestler, he’d be having amazing wrestling matches. He can go in there night in and night out and have this incredible wrestling match. But I feel like the thing that attracts him to so many fans is the persona, the whole Orange Cassidy shtick.
Hardy then went on to make a very interesting comparison between Cassidy and the Undertaker, citing how both are "go-to guys" for their respective bosses.
I’m going to make a very strange connection, but I do think there’s some truth to this. In some ways, right now, if you notice this, Orange Cassidy opens up Dynamite all the time. I feel like Orange Cassidy to Tony, at this stage, right now, where they’re currently at, these last few months, in some ways reminds me of the relationship between Vince McMahon and The Undertaker. He was his go-to guy, a guy that he knew could go out and get the job he wanted done, done. On top of that, those guys were both really good wrestlers, but they played these outlandish and outrageous over-the-top gimmicks. So there’s a crazy similarity there.
