NXT's Pete Dunne Reportedly Signs New Multi-Year WWE Deal

If recent reports are accurate, former NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne has pledged his future to WWE by putting pen-to-paper on a new multi-year deal with the company.

According to our friends over at Fightful Select (subscription required and highly recommended) "The Bruiserweight" signed a three-year contract that was allegedly offered to him personally by NXT's founder, Triple H. Back in early August, it was reported that Dunne's previous WWE deal was close to expiring.

Dunne has been around the block a few times. He has 14 years of wrestling experience under his belt, despite being 27-years-old. He started training when he was 12, and it's safe to say that he knows the business inside and out. But despite all that, he's continuously improving and hasn't come close to reaching his full potential.

Pete Dunne was already an excellent performer when he was signed by WWE, but he's improved so much in the intervening years. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he didn't wrestle at all between March and October of 2020. But when he finally got back in the ring, it was like he'd never been gone. Not only did he show no signs of ring rust, but the break had rejuvenated him. Dunne used the time off to work on his physique and came back looking better than ever.

The Englishman is one of the most naturally gifted in-ring performers in all of WWE and will get a chance to prove himself in the main event of the debut episode of the revamped NXT, which kicks off this evening (Tuesday, September 14). As we previously reported, Dunne, LA Knight, Tommaso Ciampa, and Kyle O'Reilly will compete in a Fatal Four-Way match for the vacant NXT Championship.

Previous NXT Champion Samoa Joe was forced to relinquish the title due to injuries on Sunday, September, 12.
