The Event: The New York premiere of boxing drama Southpaw. The Canadian actress was joined by co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomie Harris (in a white Cushnie et Ochs cocktail dress and Christian Louboutin pumps) and 50 Cent.
Why We Dig: Though an all-black ensemble sometimes can be a snooze on the red carpet, McAdams’ Self-Portrait dress had all the elements of a winning look. From bare shoulders to the ab-baring cutout, the actress showed just enough skin to keep the fit-and-flare skirt from feeling too safe. She kept her footwear simple, wearing the uber-popular Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandals, but amped up the glam factor with Tiffany & Co. bracelets, rings and stunning diamond ear cuffs. What a total knockout.
