Randy Orton WWE Return Hopes Renewed By Entrance Theme Remix

Randy Orton was on quite a run when an injury forced him to take some time away from the ring last year. Arguably more popular than at any other time in his career alongside Matt Riddle, it has now been more than a year since Orton wrestled his last match. There have been various reports claiming he's nearly ready to return since then, but as of yet, none of those reports have come to fruition.

Remixed Entrance Music

There has been a fresh indicator this week that Orton might be nearing a WWE return. Highlighted by PW Chronicle, Rev Theory, the band who perform Orton's most recent entrance music Voices, has revealed it will be releasing a new version of the theme on June 30. No word on why they're doing that, but it has naturally got some fans thinking Orton is nearing a comeback.

Prepping a new version of a wrestler's entrance music would certainly be something WWE might want to do after someone has been away for more than a year. Close enough that everyone in the arena knows who's coming when the music hits, but different enough to indicate this will be the start of a new chapter in Orton's career.

What Should WWE Do With Orton?

It might need to be a new chapter at this point as everyone involved in the angle Orton was tied up in when he left has moved on and been involved in other stuff since. Having him come back and attack Riddle, or have Riddle attack him, seems like the most logical and effective way to bring The Viper back. Riddle isn't involved in anything at the moment, possibly because he is being saved for Orton's return.

While this is a promising sign that Orton will be back soon, it could be another red herring of which there have already been many. It has even been suggested by Orton's own father, WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton, that doctors have told the 14-time World Champion to never wrestle again. Bob did also suggest that doesn't necessarily mean his son will take that advice.
