Renee Paquette Officially Signs With AEW
Renee Paquette is officially a member of the AEW broadcast team! The company's president Tony Khan confirmed the news on social media on Wednesday, October 12."Welcome to the team!" Khan tweeted, shortly before that week's edition of Dynamite hit the airwaves.
After eight years with WWE, Renee parted ways with the company in 2020. She announced her departure at SummerSlam in August of that year and revealed that the event would be her last appearance with the company.
As we previously reported, following her WWE departure, Renee hinted that her non-compete clause would last a full year. Despite being unable to immediately return to broadcasting Renee made the most of her time. After leaving WWE, she launched a new podcast called Oral Sessions (later renamed to The Sessions), published a cookbook, and became a parent for the first time with her husband, AEW star Jon Moxley.

“I don’t ever want to separate myself from professional wrestling," Paquette said duringan interview with WrestlingINC last August. "I know that’s where my fanbase comes from; I know that’s essentially going to always be my bread and butter — and I love that. I love professional wrestling, so I’m not looking to get away from it by any stretch,”
The following month, Renee mentioned the possibility of joining AEW to The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast's host Nick Hausman. "AEW is growing, as their broadcasts are growing, as they’re adding on new shows, I think there’s definitely a role," she said.
The specifics of Paquette's AEW role have yet to be revealed, but there can be little doubt that she will be an asset to the company.
