SVU Episode You Forgot Starred Carol Burnett
Carol Burnett had been a force in the entertainment industry before she stepped on the set of "Law & Order: SVU." She got her start in acting in New York City after a mysterious benefactor paid her way to live in the Big Apple (via Britannica). She instantly turned heads with her comedic skills and would climb up the ladder, all the while helping pave the way for women in comedy.
Best known for her variety show, "The Carol Burnett Show," Burnett was constantly making audiences laugh. However, when she appeared on "SVU," her character was far from the hilarious ones she portrayed on her own show.
Burnett's cameo on the show took place during Season 10 in an episode titled "Ballerina" (via PopSugar). Burnett wasn't making us laugh when she took on the role of Birdie, a black widow character who had killed her husband. The dark role was considered to be outside of Burnett's wheelhouse, but her acting skills are so good that she had us all convinced she was actually evil. At the end of the day, Burnett used "SVU" in 2009 to prove that her acting chops are well-rounded, that she can do it all.
