The fourth spot was the big one where WWE had to make a big decision to officially have Evolution move forward together. Batista suffering an injury saw Mark Jindrak passing him in the pecking order to get the planned push.

Jindrak had a great look and the potential that inspired WWE to go as far as having him film content with Evolution for their entrance video. Triple H revealed that Jindrak and Orton were too immature together. The call was made by Triple H to ax Jindrak in favor of Batista.

7 Batista Coming Back To Destroy Goldberg

The return from an injury saw Batista coming back in the most dominant manner possible to join Evolution. Triple H put a bounty on Goldberg’s head with huge money offered to any wrestler who could take him down.

Batista returned during a Goldberg vs Shawn Michaels match to severely attack Goldberg. Triple H handed the briefcase of money to Batista along with the official induction into Evolution. Few wrestlers ever had that much offense against Goldberg, but WWE clearly believed in Batista.

Many stables will get the storyline treatment of everyone winning titles to showcase the dominance. Triple H dominated the World Championship for years and utilized Evolution to continue retaining or regaining the belt.

The Intercontinental Championship became important again when Randy Orton won it to keep his momentum building as a rising star. Ric Flair and Batista united to win tag gold as all four members of Evolution won the major titles on Raw.

Randy Orton joining Evolution fast-tracked him to the top in the WWE hoped for. The fans started to naturally enjoy Orton as a great heel having good matches and gaining momentum as a new talent in the main event picture.

Orton scored his first World Championship in 2004 when defeating Chris Benoit at SummerSlam. The moment came after Triple H suffered multiple losses to Benoit. Even though Benoit was the champion involved, the entire story was done to set up Orton accomplishing something that Triple H failed at.

One of the most memorable moments for Evolution came when Randy Orton was kicked out one night after winning the World Championship. Triple H celebrated Orton until showing the thumbs down gesture leading to Batista laying out the new champ.

Ric Flair joined Triple H and Batista in the vicious attack on Orton. Triple H showed that no one was allowed to pass him in the pecking order by delivering brutal shots at his former protégé. Orton’s face run was a disaster with Triple H taking the title from him after just a few weeks.

Batista was approaching the same level as Randy Orton a few months later as someone fans wanted to see on his own. The momentum saw WWE plan out an outstanding storyline of Triple H trying to manipulate Batista.

The 2005 Royal Rumble match victory saw Batista having his chance at picking between Triple H or JBL as his opponent for WrestleMania 21.Batista realized Triple H’s manipulation and turned on him first to end Evolution. The World Championship win for Batista was the final moment to end Evolution in grand fashion by creating a new star.

2 Reuniting When Batista's Return Flopped

WWE never had major plans to reform Evolution since Batista left the company for acting and Ric Flair retired. However, it would happen based on timing in 2014. Batista’s return to WWE flopped when fans rejected him getting a title shot as the top face over Daniel Bryan.

The heel turn saw Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton all having common enemies. WWE officially reunited them with the theme music and moniker when facing The Shield. Each of the three legends gave their all into putting over The Shield in two PPV matches to build new stars.

The popularity of Evolution was discovered during the 2014 return having strong fan interest. Batista vocally expressed his desire to have a retirement match with Triple H for years, but it wouldn’t become a program until late 2018.

Evolution reformed for a special moment on the Smackdown 1000 episode to a huge ovation. Batista made a snarky comment about Triple H never beating him to the dismay of the crowd. WWE didn’t play this out until a few months later when Batista attacked Ric Flair to send a message. Triple H accepted the match and defeated his former Evolution protégé at WrestleMania 35 in Batista’s retirement match.
