Thunder Rosa Not Injured, Revolution Match Going Ahead
It's finally Revolution weekend. AEW's first PPV of 2022 goes down on Sunday night and the card for the show is teeming with big matches. 11 of them to be exact. Hangman Page will defend the AEW Title against Adam Cole, a ladder match will decide the next challenger for the TNT Title, and CM Punk and MJF will clash in what is bound to be a pretty violent dog collar match.
Rosa vs. Baker
Speaking of violent matches, Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa will finally get the chance to wrestle again following their lights out, match of the year contender in 2021. The AEW Women's Title will be on the line, a championship Rosa is yet to hold. Earlier this week, there was a belief that her chance to win that belt for the first time was in jeopardy.

Fans noticed Rosa's leg was wrapped up during her match on Dynamite, and reports that she might not be cleared to wrestle at Revolution started to swirl. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has since confirmed that is thankfully not the case. Even Rosa herself confirmed she will be able to wrestle on Sunday and the match is still very much going ahead at this time.
The Match Is On
“I've reached out to Thunder Rosa and AEW sources who have vehemently denied she's injured,” the tweet reads. That means Baker's reign remains in jeopardy, perhaps the most jeopardy it has been in since she won the championship last year at Double or Nothing. Baker will have been champion for 280 days by the time she faces Rosa at Revolution.
Sunday's PPV has the opportunity to change the landscape of AEW in a lot of major ways. Not only a Women's Title change, but also the World Title situation. While it's unlikely Cole will be the one to dethrone Page on Sunday, it feels like whatever happens in that match will dictate the situation between The Elite and Redragon. Not to mention an MJF win over Punk potentially shooting him into the number one contender spot for the World Championship.
