Why Becky Lynch Should Return To Raw (& Why She Should Join SmackDown)

Becky Lynch is one of the biggest names within WWE who has had a fantastic career so far with the company. She helped drive the women's division to the WrestleMania main event for the first time in history, and she is someone who can truly connect with the WWE Universe.

Lynch has been gone from WWE since the post-Money in the Bank episode of Raw in 2020, where she revealed her pregnancy. While there's no confirmation of when she plans to return, with the fans coming back, Lynch's arrival would cause a big stir. She is someone who would be a great addition to Raw or SmackDown due to her ability, but it remains to be seen where The Man will land next.

10 Raw: Reclaim Her Prize

Becky Lynch on Raw

The last time fans saw Becky Lynch was on Raw, where she handed over her Raw Women's Championship to Asuka after she won the Money in the Bank. She relinquished the title without being beaten, creating a truly emotional segment.

However, with Lynch technically having never lost the title, the door is certainly open for her to come in and reclaim her prize. Popping up as a top babyface to compete against whoever is champion at the time, demanding her title back would be a great story to tell.

9 SmackDown: Returning Home

While Raw is where Becky Lynch was last used by WWE, most fans would actually associate her with SmackDown. When the brand split originally returned, Lynch was a top pick for the blue brand and she was made the face of the women's division.

Becky carried the brand through a real golden period when it comes to women's wrestling, and it would be nice to see her return once again. It would feel fresh after a period of her not being on the show as well, which would help the show.

8 Raw: A Top Babyface Is Needed

Becky Lynch as Raw Women's Champion

Nowadays, the lines can be blurred between babyfaces and heels quite easily, but that is something Raw does too much of with its women's division. Asuka, Charlotte, and Rhea Ripley are all talents that can be likable and hated all at the same time.

All three are arrogant and cocky at times, and while it can work, the show does lack a genuinely top babyface that audiences can love and truly get behind, which would help the show massively.

7 SmackDown: Work With Her Husband

Sometimes, behind the scenes situations play a big part in which brand a wrestler works on, and married couples are often kept together. This is so they can spend time as a couple while traveling, making their lives a little easier.

Considering Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins also have a child together, putting them on the same brand might be a priority for WWE. Becasue of that, having Lynch on SmackDown to see Seth backstage might be the best decision.

6 Raw: A True Shayna Baszler Feud

Baszler v Lynch

Becky Lynch's final storyline before her pregnancy was with Shayna Baszler, and that was one that certainly didn't feel complete when it was wrapped up. Everything about it was great until the WrestleMania match, which didn't quite hit the levelspeople hoped for.

However, allowing this to continue would be a good decision. Not only could this bring Shayna back into the singles division, but it would be a fantastic first feud back for Becky as well.

5 SmackDown: Dream Feuds

Three of SmackDown's top stars; Bianca Belair, Bayley, and Sasha Banks are all wrestlers that Becky Lynch has had very limited interactions with. Now Bayley is a top heel, WWE has the chance to really book an exciting storyline with The Man.

Seeing Lynch and Bayley go back and forth in the ring and on the microphone could be an amazing situation. Plus, with Sasha and Belair, there are some genuinely huge opportunities for incredible storylines once again.

4 Raw: More Time = More Talent

With Monday Night Raw having an extra hour every week, it is important that WWE balances the roster and provides more stars to accommodate that. Lately, the red brand has been struggling in order to make all three hours exciting.

Adding someone like Becky Lynch who can carry multiple segments on a show, from promos to interviews and matches would be a smart decision. She would certainly help the flow of the show, and it would be easy to see why WWE would want her back on Monday nights.

3 SmackDown: Women's Roster Is Thin

Becky Lynch

One of the main reasons Becky Lynch would be better on SmackDown is simply because the roster is so thin right now for the blue brand. When it comes to the women's division, there's a serious lack of numbers on SmackDown.

There are just eight women on SmackDown, but with Natalya and Tamina Snuka in the tag team division, there's even less in the singles side. Lynch coming into the brand would help massively with that, giving SmackDown a big help.

2 Raw: The Need For Star Power

While the Raw roster has more women, there is a genuine lack of star power on that side. While Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Asuka are all top title contenders, outside of that the roster is quite thin on top stars.

Meanwhile, SmackDown has got plenty of former champions and right now Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair, and Bayley are putting in some amazing work. It feels like the Raw roster needs Lynch's star power just a little more, especially as the show has more time to fill.

1 SmackDown: Avoid Charlotte Flair

While Raw does desperately need some fresh faces, the fact is that if Becky Lynch heads to the red brand, she will run into Charlotte Flair. While the two wrestlers always put on great matches together, the fact is that it's been done too many times.

Because of that, WWE would be better off having Lynch on SmackDown, being able to compete against fresh names for a change. This would certainly be a popular decision with fans, and would allow for more time to pass before Flair and Lynch continue their story.
