WWE Confirms The Return Of Carlito 10 Years After His Last Appearance
Carly Colon, better known to wrestling fans as Carlito, will return to WWE TV for the first time in ten years on January 4, 2021.
Vince McMahon tends to do a couple of things when ratings hit a record low. He might appear on TV, sometimes with a few other McMahons in tow, and promise that things are about to change. However, it's more likely that he will bust out the Rolodex and invite a bunch of legends and former stars to bump the rating, even if it is for one week only.
After Raw registered another record low rating before the holidays, McMahon broke that glass in case of emergency once more. It was announced soon after that the January 4, 2021, edition of the red brand's weekly show will be a Legends' Night. Superstars such as Ric Flair, Big Show, Kurt Angle, and Hulk Hogan will all be in attendance.

WWE continues to add to that list, revealing on Instagram that Carlito will also be on the show. One of the more surprising additions to Legends Night as barring his attendance for his father's Hall of Fame induction, Carlito hasn't done anything from WWE since his departure in 2010. In May of that year, Carlito was suspended for violating WWE's wellness policy and hasn't returned to the company since.
For newer fans of the business, Carlito was a bigger deal in WWE than it might appear, especially since his name is rarely mentioned. He won the US and Intercontinental Titles during his run, was a two-time Tag Team Champion, and had notable feuds with Flair and Show who will also be in attendance at Legends Night. He was very much one of those Superstars who may have eventually been a World Champion had he stuck around long enough.
His return to WWE for Legends Night might well be the beginning of something bigger. It's no secret that WWE has been trying to strike a deal with Carlito for a while. The same goes for Melina who will also return to WWE on Legends Night after an extended absence. WWE might be hoping that the two of them get the bug like MVP did last year. His appearance in the Royal Rumble was supposed to be a one-off, but he remains with the company to this day.
