It appears Tom Hardy is really investing himself in his latest role as Al Capone.

The 40-year-old Brit is well known for playing bad boys like Capone (his performance as Bane certainly set him up for life as a go-to bad guy), and for the forthcoming biopic Fonzo he's not only getting into the notorious mobster's headspace, he's transforming his actual head. As pictures from the set reveal, Hardy has indeed gone completely bald to portray Capone.

In the pictures, Hardy can be seen walking through New Orleans with a totally shaved head as he carries a mannequin head, which may or may hold a wig he wears in the film. But the fake head is of no concern to us—we're here for Hardy's own shiny, smooth dome.

Though Hardy likely made the choice to go bald for the role, for a lot of guys it isn’t really an option. And that’s OK, because bald guys are part of a super-exclusive group that can look manly as fuck.

Don’t believe me? Fine, here are a bunch of hairless-up-top dudes to prove my point.

You wouldn’t want to fight Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the ring, would you?

By the way, saying these guys are badass because they are bald isn’t subjective. It’s a scientific fact.

“Choosing to dispense with one’s hair is arguably a form of nonverbal behavior, a form of expression which communicates information about the self otherwise difficult to observe,” the study concluded.

So if you’re losing more than just a few hairs from the top of your head, now may be the time to simply get rid of it all. Just follow these five simple steps to letting go of your thinning hair and embracing the new, arguably cooler, you.
